Manual Osteopathy
Manual Osteopathic Treatments are a gentle, hands-on approach that treats movement restrictions in your body’s tissues and restores function and balance to the body.
Restore your ability to heal…
All aspects of the body are interconnected. By addressing and removing blockages, balance is restored within both the physical body and its energy flow. This enables the body’s natural ability to heal and regain its optimal state of health.
“Disease is often a result of mechanical obstruction to the normal flow of fluids and nerve activity.
The rule of the artery is absolute, universal, and it must be unobstructed, or disease will result.”
~ Dr. Andrew Taylor Still
Manual Osteopathic Approach…
The techniques used in Osteopathy include mobilization, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue work, cranial and visceral techniques, as well as fascia release, among others. These methods can address a variety of conditions, ranging from common pains (such as TMJ, neck, shoulder, back, hips, and knees) to more persistent conditions like sciatica, migraines, and headaches. Osteopathy also helps in recovery from injuries, such as concussions and fibromyalgia, and many more.
Osteopathy goes beyond treating symptoms; it focuses on identifying and healing the root cause of the issue. As a preventative treatment, it maintains the body’s optimal balance, even before symptoms appear.
It is wise to remember that symptoms do not appear until the body’s ability to compensate has been fully exhausted. When we can no longer compensate from all of our stresses, that is when symptoms of pain and discomfort start to present themselves.
